Exposure edition by Donna Ball Mystery Thriller Suspense eBooks

Have you ever done anything you’re ashamed of?
For popular talk show host Jessamine Cray, it started as just another piece of slightly weird fan mail a single typed line on an unsigned sheet of paper that reads Have you ever done anything you’re ashamed of? No one takes it as a threat until the second communication comes, and then the third… a blood-stained prom dress, a disfigured photograph from a high school year book, copies of private papers to which no one but Jess should have had access. Every celebrity’s worst nightmare has come true for Jessamine Cray she is being stalked, and shame is her terrorist’s secret weapon.
Old friends, former lovers, guests on her talk show, colleagues and family members… no one is safe from suspicion, and everyone has a motive—even Jess. As the police investigation turns its spotlight on Jess herself and uncovers her most deeply buried secrets, Jess can only watch in helpless horror as her tormentor’s diabolical plan unfolds. First he will shatter her trust, then he will shake her peace of mind … and then he will come for her.
And by the time she sees him coming, it will be too late.

0n the morning of her thirty-second birthday the first note appears - a single typed line on a sheet of paper that reads: "Have you ever done anything you're ashamed of?" Popular talk show host, Jessamine Cray, dismisses the note as evidence of a crazy fan. However, it's not long until the threats start mounting. First, an old prom dress mysteriously appears stained with blood. Then calls made to her personal and unlisted phone number prove that this stranger knows far too much about Jessamine. Every celebrity's worst nightmare is coming true - she is being stalked. She tries to go to the police for help, but they accuse her of staging these events just to get ratings.Exposure is one of those books that puts you in the mind of the main character. We all know how terrifying it would be to have a complete stranger know private details about you and your past, especially if some of those secrets you'd rather forget. Donna Ball is a newcomer to my digital bookshelf, but is definitely an author who knows how to tell a story. If you like thrills, suspense and a fast moving plot, you'll really enjoy this book.

Jess is a popular celebrity co-starring in a local talk show. One day she gets a note - have you done anything that
you are ashamed of?? - she blows it off until more stuff begins to happen and people begin to die. . .
An exciting thriller from beginning to end up to the last moment. . .
I like Ball's books but didn't care for this book as much. Mainly because I didn't really like the main character.
Started kinda slow but as I read, it became suspenseful and I could not figure out who the bad guy was... Gotta go and read me some more Donna Ball...
This was a pretty fast paced and gripping thriller with a tiny bit of romance thrown in. Some of the language wasn't great, I would say about PG-13 level. It kept me reading to guess who the stalker was. I think I figured it out about the time the author meant you to which was not to long before it was revealed.
This was truly a book, I couldn't put down! Donna Ball is an amazing author who can write romances, dog mysteries and tales of suspense equally well. Every time I read one of her books, it becomes a favorite and EXPOSURE was no different. I had no clue of what the outcome would be until the very end of the novel! Please keep writing, Donna!
First off let me say that if I could have given this book a 4-1/2 I would have. If I hadn't read Shattered & Sanctuary first I probably would have given it a 5. I just thought that compared to those books (for me) I couldn't give it a 5.
There was little swearing and no blatant sexual content for those of you who don't care for that sort of thing. The murders were not too graphic either. I know those things bother some people so I always like to mention it.
The main character, Jess, was very interesting & she was fleshed out pretty well. Her co-worker, Dan, was not as well fleshed out but I don't think he had to be. There were enough people to suspect of being Jess's "stalker" so you might not guess who it is (I knew pretty early on but it didn't ruin the story for me). There is a relationship building between the two but it is pretty low key & doesn't interfere with the main mystery.
If you like mysteries I think you will like this book. I recommend Donna Ball's other books that I have read as well, Shattered & Sanctuary. They were excellent. I look forward to reading Donna Ball's other books because they are done very well.
Teriffic read! Good flow. Characters and surroundings are layed out gradually so as not to overwhelm.
You are taken into the world of talk show production just enough to get the general feel of a television station and it's inner workings. When the female co-host receives a cryptic note, you immediately think, "Stalker fan mail. Hmmm, wasn't there a movie?" Keep reading! Don't even stop for a snooze or a snack. This is nothing short of a fantastic over-the-top who's-doing-it novel. With each page, you can't help trying to unearth the villain. Good luck. Donna Ball weaves a tale worth shouting about.
